It has been said that a picture is worth a thousand words, and so we
hope this “snapshot” helps you understand a little bit of who we are
and what we are about.
No matter where you may be on you spiritual journey, our desire is
to help people like you take the next step and experience life the
way God intended it to be. We want you to know that we care about
you, because you matter to God!
We at OVBC “exist to worship God by developing authentic, passionate
Christ-followers.” That is our Mission Statement and it drives
everything we do here. Christianity is not a set of rules but a
relationship with a living God, and we are a community of believers
committed to deepening our relationship with God and one another.
God wants us to become something together that we cannot become
apart. Because, we believe loving relationships are the heart of a
healthy church, we strive to provide an atmosphere which develops
loving Christian individuals, marriages, and families. At OVBC, we
understand the Bible to be our final authority in all matters
concerning faith and life, and so we strive to teach God’s Word with
passion and integrity in a relevant and understandable way. We also
feel that every member of the OVBC family is a “gift” from God to
our church, and we seek to empower our uniquely designed and gifted
people to serve Christ and others from hearts of love and gratitude.
Can you tell a living story in a few paragraphs? Well, we’ve tried,
but beyond the paper…
…is the warmth and thrill of our Sunday morning Worship Services
where we lift our hearts and voices to the God who loves us and
redeemed us through Jesus Christ.
…is the story of people coming from many walks of life and finding
friendships that will care for and encourage them through the good
times and bad.
…is a growing passion to love people around us and share with them
the greatest news about the greatest gift ever given.
We’re excited about what God is doing in our midst at OVBC. Our
desire is to give real hope to real people facing real life in the
real world, and we welcome you to experience the love and community
